Research Interest
I have a special clinical and research interest in breast cancer. During my fellowship I pursued a special breast cancer research track to devote a full year of my training to breast cancer treatment and research. I contributed to original research published in the Journal of Breast Cancer Research. In addition, I did training in breast cancer and sarcoma at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
My commitment to health education began at Yale where I developed a teen health peer education program in New Haven middle schools. It continued into my research in Senegal where I studied the effect of women’s health education on adoption of new health practices.
At our office we are a part of research to discover the most effective treatments for breast cancer. Taking into account the fingerprint, or molecular subtype, of each cancer, we can apply cutting-edge medicines as well as research treatments. We do this high level of clinical care while maintaining a warm, supportive environment where each patient’s voice is heard. Our team approach enhances real-time communication between all doctors on the patient’s oncology team in order to streamline the patient’s experience.
