Dr. Stone received his M.D. from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas, in 1994. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1997. He then completed a fellowship in medical oncology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in 1999.
