Sumalatha Patibandla, M.D.

Education
Dr. Patibandla received her medical degree in 1996 from Guntur Medical College, Guntur, India, where she also completed her internship. She completed her residency at Catholic Medical Center in Queens, NY and a Fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Camden, NJ. She received a Merit Scholarship from the government of India for scholastic excellence. She graduated 3rd from Guntur Medical College out of 150 students. She received “Best Resident” award during her residency program. She achieved first prize in the clinical research competition at UMDNJ, Camden, New Jersey during her fellowship program.

Research Interest
Sumalatha Patibandla, M.D. participated in the “Reorientation of Medical Education” program in the rural areas of India. She has done several research projects and written several publications.
